mother fucker. it’s always something with me.
a week ago my back started hurting. this is nothing new; i’ve had back pain for over 10 years. usually it goes away in a few days. this time the pain is shooting down my left leg and throbbing. i went to the doc and he said i had sciatica. he gave me pain meds, muscle relaxers, and a cortisone based drug to help with inflammation. ...
hey tumblr parents - what have you done with all the baby gifts you received that, how do i put this nicely, weren’t on your registry? you know what i’m talking about. for example, the noah’s ark onesie, hat & bib set; even though they are covered in cute little animals, my kid is not wearing religion themed clothes. some of the stuff is actually not bad, just not my taste....
sleepy baby.

thrift store scores
i opted not to go to the consignment store after i saw these pictures from their website. too frilly for my tastes. i’m so glad i went to the thrift store instead.
what 35 buckaroos got me (well actually anders)
grey cords
grey & navy striped pants
orange and grey striped hooded sweater

i just went online to buy a pair of toms for me & the little one and was totally bummed to see the cheapest pair was $44 for me and $29 for anders. that’s just stupid. the whole one for one concept is swell, but i’m on a budget and they’re just not that cute.
i’m going to check out a baby clothing consignment shop during my lunch break. either i’ll come back...

what are you listening to? favorite can’t get enough of song - ready, go!
cannot get enough of tune yards! i’ve been listening to the new album on repeat all week. favorite song: gangsta.
i recently started following a bunch of parenting blogs and i feel like most of them get to stay home with their kids. i’m so jealous and a bit confused. are all of their significant others making 6 figure salaries so they can stay at home? if not, how do they pay their mortgage/rent, health insurance, utilities, car insurance, cell phones, gas, groceries, etc? i live a pretty modest...

all this baby gear is starting to make me feel claustrophobic in my own home. bungalows may be cute but they sure are small. i think it may be time for me to say goodbye to some of my vintage treasures (sniffle sniffle).
i’ve been thinking about opening an etsy store forever but i always end up obsessing about the name of the store, the tagline, the banner, a logo, writing a return...

wishful thinking?
be asleep by 10:30pm; luckily i have ambien to help.
get up at 2:30am to pump. thankfully my husband will be taking care of the baby all night. anders still wakes up every 4 hours and even if he didn’t, i’d still have to get up to pump. it’s been over 4 months since i’ve slept more than 6 consecutive hours. so sad.
get up at 6:30am so i can get to work early and leave...

anders went to his first art show last night at kibbee gallery. he loved it. if you are in atlanta you should check it out.
arborescent asked: is there any way you can work part-time? i nanny for a woman who works 3 days a week so we both get the best of both worlds. if this would be a possibility you could still be with him for more than 1/2 the week but with an income too! or possibly see if you could work from home some days during the week? i don't know what you do for a living so i'm not sure if either are possibilites but...

the past 2 days at work have been really rough for me. it’s an extremely busy time so i’m overwhelmed and working long hours, while the only place i want to be is home with my baby. i always knew i couldn’t be a stay at home mom; i need health insurance (due to preexisting conditions i can’t get it on my own) and we just can’t afford to live on one income. it...
